Highlights | September 2022
In September there’s a few great sporting events coming up:
- Formula 1: The Italian GP in Monza | September 9 to September 11
- Cycling: The World Cycling Championships in Australia | September 18 to September 25
The Italian GP in Monza
Last weekend in Zandvoort was incredible. Just like last year, Max was able to take the win: both on Saturday during the qualifying and during the race itself. To sum it up: it was a spectacle. September is a busy racing month, as the next race is already approaching: the Italian GP in Monza on September 11. In 2019 Max finished here in 8th place, in 2020 in 17th place and in 2021 in 18th place: Max hasn’t really managed to achieve success during this GP. Fortunately last weekend’s results were excellent, so expectations for this GP are certainly there.

The World Cycling Championships in Australia
In addition to the Formula 1 madness, there is also another major cycling event scheduled in September: the 2022 World Cycling Championships in Australia.
The 2022 World Cup in Australia starts on Monday, September 18. The races will take place in and around Wollongong, a coastal town just south of Sydney. It’s only happened one before that a World Cycling Championships took place in Wollongong, this was in 2010. During this championship, Thor Hushovd & Giorgia Bronzini managed to take the rainbow jersey home. Will Mathieu van der Poel take home the rainbow jersey this edition?
Naturally, the World Cycling Championships bring great opportunities, because the real cycling fan will not want to miss a single moment of all the spectacle.

New publishers: 1908.nl, Atletiek.nu & Footballtransfers.com
In the past month we’ve welcomed three new publishers to our network. These publishers all belong to the sports channel.
1908.nl writes about the latest Feyenoord news and distinguishes itself by delivering the latest transfers. A website that the real Feyenoord fan reads on a daily basis. 1908.nl has at least 900,000 visitors per month.
Atletiek.nu is, as the name suggests, a website that focuses on athletics. The website has a wide reach with many Dutch athletics associations. The website is also used by athletes to register themselves, to start competitions and to keep track of them. The website attracts 150,000 visitors on a monthly basis.
Footballtransfers.com is a website that delivers the latest football transfer news. Previously they only had an English website, but now there’s also a Dutch version available. This version has only recently been launched, but already attracts more than 250,000 visitors per month.
